World Cup qualifiers – state of play in South America | World Soccer

Argentina and Brazil are through but, of the remaining eight teams, only Bolivia are mathematically out with two rounds of matches remaining.

A draw for third-placed Ecuador against Uruguay tomorrow, and a victory for Paraguay in Venezuela will see those two take the remaining two automatic qualifying spots.

Even defeat for Paraguay will not be disastrous as they can still qualify if Ecuador win and Colombia draw with Chile.

Uruguay lie in fifth place, which would lead to a play-off against Australia, with a critical win over Colombia. The Colombians are a point behind them, as are Chile.

Argentina v Peru
Bolivia v Brazil
Ecuador v Uruguay
Colombia v Chile
Venezuela v Paraguay
